SHEET 010 · COMPANY RECORD · NIMBUS CLOUD HOSTING OÜ · EST. 2023 · 7 PEOPLE

A small company that sells servers

Seven people, forty-one racks, forty-one sites, one autonomous system. We started with four racks in Frankfurt and a PDU we wired ourselves; we are still small on purpose, because small is why the prices and the answers are what they are.

The company, counted

Figures as of 2026-09-01. Updated every quarter in the journal, because numbers a company publishes quarterly are numbers a company has to keep true.

02 — Timeline

2023 to 2026, in six entries

Short version: we grew where the cables are, we refreshed the hardware, and the console stopped embarrassing us. Full dates are in the journal.

2023

Four racks in Frankfurt

First instance sold in November at €4 a month on a six-month term. Opteron hosts, one PDU we had wired ourselves, and a support mailbox that was one person's personal inbox.

2024

Crypto becomes the only way to pay

Card processing retired after a chargeback wave taught us the lesson the price list was already hinting at. Payments settled on-chain since; AS212345 announced the same year.

2024–2025

East and south: ten more sites

London, Paris, New York and Seoul in 2024; Tokyo and Singapore before the year was out; Zurich, Los Angeles, Dubai and São Paulo in 2025. Forty-one sites in thirty-two countries, one flat price — that was the rule the whole way.

2025

Genoa, DDR5, Gen4 NVMe

The fleet-wide host refresh landed +38% single-thread performance and half the storage latency. Prices did not move — the refresh was paid for by the old hardware's resale, not by you.

2025

Power crisis: prices held

European energy spot prices tripled in a quarter. Fixed-price power contracts signed in 2023 absorbed it, and the price list stayed exactly where it was. The policy it tested — prices go down, not up — survived.

2026

Console v4

Per-second graphs, a snapshot manager, API keys and the rescue-mode flow the help centre documents. Fifteenth rewrite or fourth version — the engineers argue about it; customers just get the good one.

03 — How we operate

Four rules nobody here argues with

They were true at four racks in Frankfurt and they are true at forty-one. Written down so new people and new customers read the same page.

01

We own the metal

No resold instances, no white-label middlemen, no 'cloud partner' in the terms. If a host misbehaves at 3 a.m., the person on call can physically touch the rack.

02

Prices go down, not up

Hardware gets cheaper and we are not a bank. When a refresh cuts our cost, the price list gets the cut — every time so far. Renewals are never quoted above the current rate.

03

Support is engineers

Median first response is twelve minutes because there is no Tier 1 to escalate through. The person answering has root on the hypervisor; the answer is the fix, not a ticket number.

04

We say no

No to workloads that abuse people, no to payment terms that would need your identity, no to 'growth' that would need a sales team. The no list is longer than the customer list and that is fine.

04 — Imprint

The boring, important block

A real postal address, a real registry, and every channel a human answers. The registry code and VAT number are on every invoice, which is the legally binding place for them.

Nimbus Cloud Hosting OÜ

Sepapaja 6, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia

Estonian e-Residency means the whole company runs from the cloud it sells — the CEO's 'office' is a Micro plan in Frankfurt and a Base plan in Tallinn. Dogfooding is a strategy here, not a buzzword.

Small company, sixty-second try

The fastest way to judge seven people and forty-one racks is to put a workload on one of them.
