Frankfurt was our first rack, back in 2023, in the Kleyerstraße campus. It was chosen the way most first datacentre contracts are chosen: by walking the halls, counting the fibre feeds and refusing to be impressed. Eight millimetres from the DE-CIX core, we could announce our own ASN on day one and peer with everyone who mattered before we had sold a single server.
The site has grown to 1.6 Tbit/s of edge capacity on Arelion, Cogent, Lumen and Telia, and it is still the busiest place we run. If your users are spread across Europe and you want one city that is eight milliseconds from London and six from Paris, this is it — 78 ms to New York if your reach is wider.
