Why Singapore?

Singapore, live since 2024, sits in Tai Seng, a district that has quietly become the region's neutral ground: no single country's cables, carriers or politics dominate it. We peer on SGIX with Arelion, NTT, Singtel and PCCW, and the facility's Tier IV rating means the power story is as boring as it should be.

The site carries 0.62 Tbit/s of edge capacity and is the answer to a geography problem: southeast Asia has no natural centre, so Singapore plays one. Twenty-four milliseconds to Hong Kong, 35 to Mumbai, 39 to Seoul, 71 to Sydney — from one rack you cover a region that would otherwise need three.

Questions about Singapore

The two answers people actually ask about this site, then the five we give everywhere.

This site

Singapore or Hong Kong for southeast Asia?
For the SAR itself, Hong Kong joined the fleet in 2025 at 3 ms local median, and it is the site we sell for Chinese-speaking users — 24 ms from Singapore, 11 from Taipei. Singapore remains the neutral default for the rest of southeast Asia: same price everywhere, and neither site asks a compliance question the other does not.
Does Singapore law affect what I can host?
Singapore enforces its content rules on services hosted there, and we take abuse reports from the authorities seriously — the acceptable use policy's instant-kill list exists here too. For routine workloads the site behaves like any other; for content that tests a government's patience, the honest advice is to host it where that government has no reach.

Everywhere

Which region should I pick?
Measure, then read. Median RTT decides most cases: pick the site closest to the users you already have, then check the local law if that matters to your data. We do not charge a regional premium, so the decision is never financial.
Is the price the same in every location?
Yes. A Nano costs €1.90 per month in Frankfurt and in São Paulo. There is no regional pricing tier, no 'emerging market' discount and no 'premium location' markup to optimise around.
Can I move a server to another site later?
Take a snapshot, deploy the same image at the destination, restore, update the DNS. The console does not yet automate the migration end-to-end, but nothing about the price changes if you redeploy somewhere else.
Is DDoS protection included?
Standard volumetric filtering is always on and always free at every site. If you need application-layer scrubbing with custom rules, the Advanced tier costs €3.90 per month per server.
What IP addresses do I get?
Every server ships with one dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6, both announced from the site you chose. Additional IPv4s are €1.20 per month each, up to eight per server.

Payments from Singapore

Orders from Singapore are handled exactly like every other order: checkout in euros, payment in Bitcoin, Monero or any of twenty-four assets, and the server provisions on the first network confirmation. No card, no bank, no name that has to match one.
