Why Hong Kong?

Hong Kong, live since 2025, is in HKG1 in Kwai Chung, the district where the container port and the cable landings share a coastline. We joined HKIX with PCCW, Arelion and NTT, and the first test instance answered Taipei at 11 ms — the shortest international hop any new site had posted that year, and a reminder of where the region's traffic actually flows.

The site runs 0.38 Tbit/s of edge capacity at a 3 ms local median, with 24 ms to Singapore and Tokyo, 42 to Mumbai and 91 to Dubai. It is Greater China's window on the world: the SAR's own fabric at the flat price, for traffic that needs to be near the mainland without pretending to be inside it.

Which site should I pick for China-bound traffic?
Hong Kong is the site we can sell you; hosting inside the mainland comes with licensing and content rules that are not part of this service. A Hong Kong rack keeps your data in the SAR under its own legal regime while sitting on the fabric mainland traffic reaches first — 11 ms from Taipei and 24 from Tokyo. If your users are in mainland China, the honest answer is that this is the closest legal perch we offer, not a promise about the border.
Why is Hong Kong marked low stock?
Because it is the only answer of its kind in the catalogue and demand noticed: 0.38 Tbit/s sells faster than the next rack shipment lands, the same story Zurich and Dublin tell. Deploys still take fifty-five seconds while stock lasts, and the order page shows the live number before you pay.

Is the price the same in every location?
Yes. A Nano costs €1.90 per month in Frankfurt and in São Paulo. There is no regional pricing tier, no 'emerging market' discount and no 'premium location' markup to optimise around.
Can I move a server to another site later?
Take a snapshot, deploy the same image at the destination, restore, update the DNS. The console does not yet automate the migration end-to-end, but nothing about the price changes if you redeploy somewhere else.
Is DDoS protection included?
Standard volumetric filtering is always on and always free at every site. If you need application-layer scrubbing with custom rules, the Advanced tier costs €3.90 per month per server.
What IP addresses do I get?
Every server ships with one dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6, both announced from the site you chose. Additional IPv4s are €1.20 per month each, up to eight per server.
