Why Dallas?

Dallas, live since 2025, is in DAL1 at the Infomart, a building that started life as a furniture mart and ended it as one of America's densest carrier hotels — the packets moved in when the showrooms moved out. We joined DE-CIX Dallas with Arelion, Cogent and NTT, and the first test instance answered Mexico City at 31 ms, the shortest US–Mexico hop in the catalogue.

The site runs 0.52 Tbit/s of edge capacity at a 3 ms local median, with 13 ms to Chicago, 20 to Miami and 27 to New York. Dallas is the south's crossroads: the city where the country's freight, flights and fibre all change direction, and now a rack in the middle of them at the same price as everywhere else.

Questions about Dallas

The two answers people actually ask about this site, then the five we give everywhere.

This site

Dallas or Chicago for the centre of the country?
Dallas wins when the map tilts south: 31 ms to Mexico City, 20 to Miami and 110 to Tokyo. Chicago wins for Canada and the north — 8 ms to Toronto. Both are Tier IV and identically priced, and the honest answer is that a fair number of customers with national reach buy both and let the network decide.
Why is Dallas the US site for Mexican and Latin American traffic?
Because 31 ms to Mexico City is the shortest US path we publish, and the Texas route is shorter than the ones that climb through Miami or the west coast. For users in Mexico, Dallas is the American rack that feels local; for everyone else in the south, it is the hub the region's routes already agreed on.

Everywhere

Which region should I pick?
Measure, then read. Median RTT decides most cases: pick the site closest to the users you already have, then check the local law if that matters to your data. We do not charge a regional premium, so the decision is never financial.
Is the price the same in every location?
Yes. A Nano costs €1.90 per month in Frankfurt and in São Paulo. There is no regional pricing tier, no 'emerging market' discount and no 'premium location' markup to optimise around.
Can I move a server to another site later?
Take a snapshot, deploy the same image at the destination, restore, update the DNS. The console does not yet automate the migration end-to-end, but nothing about the price changes if you redeploy somewhere else.
Is DDoS protection included?
Standard volumetric filtering is always on and always free at every site. If you need application-layer scrubbing with custom rules, the Advanced tier costs €3.90 per month per server.
What IP addresses do I get?
Every server ships with one dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6, both announced from the site you chose. Additional IPv4s are €1.20 per month each, up to eight per server.

Payments from United States

Orders from United States are handled exactly like every other order: checkout in euros, payment in Bitcoin, Monero or any of twenty-four assets, and the server provisions on the first network confirmation. No card, no bank, no name that has to match one.

Two decisions, then a network

Pick a size, pick a site, pay in crypto. Moving later is one snapshot and a redeploy away.
