Why Dubai?

Dubai, live since 2025, is in Dubai Silicon Oasis, a free zone that exists to make hosting companies feel at home — which is convenient, because building a middle-east site from Tallinn involves a lot of patience and one very long cable run. We peer on UAE-IX with Arelion and PCCW, and the first test traffic to Mumbai came back at 33 ms.

The site carries 0.3 Tbit/s of edge capacity — our smallest, and the one with the longest odds of paying for itself. The geography is the pitch: 41 ms to Istanbul, 82 to London, 87 to Paris, 91 to Frankfurt. The Gulf states, east Africa and south Asia all sit closer to this rack than to any European one, and the region's financial traffic has started to notice.

Questions about Dubai

The two answers people actually ask about this site, then the five we give everywhere.

This site

Does a Dubai server reach the wider Gulf, or just the UAE?
Both, which is the point of the site: 33 ms to Mumbai and 41 ms to Istanbul bracket a region whose traffic used to make a round trip through Europe. Within the Gulf, the UAE-IX fabric plus local carrier routes keep most neighbours under 20 ms. If your users are in the Gulf, this is the shortest cable path we sell.
What should I know about UAE content rules before ordering?
That they exist, and that they are enforced. The UAE's telecoms regulator filters and blocks content that conflicts with local law, and a server inside the country inherits that environment. VPN use is restricted to licensed cases for individuals. If that is a problem for your use case, the answer is not this site.

Everywhere

Which region should I pick?
Measure, then read. Median RTT decides most cases: pick the site closest to the users you already have, then check the local law if that matters to your data. We do not charge a regional premium, so the decision is never financial.
Is the price the same in every location?
Yes. A Nano costs €1.90 per month in Frankfurt and in São Paulo. There is no regional pricing tier, no 'emerging market' discount and no 'premium location' markup to optimise around.
Can I move a server to another site later?
Take a snapshot, deploy the same image at the destination, restore, update the DNS. The console does not yet automate the migration end-to-end, but nothing about the price changes if you redeploy somewhere else.
Is DDoS protection included?
Standard volumetric filtering is always on and always free at every site. If you need application-layer scrubbing with custom rules, the Advanced tier costs €3.90 per month per server.
What IP addresses do I get?
Every server ships with one dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6, both announced from the site you chose. Additional IPv4s are €1.20 per month each, up to eight per server.

Payments from United Arab Emirates

Orders from United Arab Emirates are handled exactly like every other order: checkout in euros, payment in Bitcoin, Monero or any of twenty-four assets, and the server provisions on the first network confirmation. No card, no bank, no name that has to match one.
