Why Riyadh?

Riyadh, live since 2026, is in RUH1 at the ITCC, the technology complex the Kingdom built to give its internet a local address. We joined SA-IX with Arelion as our single carrier, and the first test instance answered Dubai at 14 ms — a number that made the sales team's job simple: the Gulf's biggest country finally has its own rack.

The site carries 0.18 Tbit/s of edge capacity — the smallest in the fleet — at a 5 ms local median, with 41 ms to Mumbai, 48 to Istanbul and 94 to Frankfurt. It is the Gulf's rising default: Saudi users get a domestic rack under Saudi law at the same price as everyone else, and the region's southern route has an anchor that is not a neighbour's capital.

Riyadh or Dubai for the Gulf?
Fourteen milliseconds apart, so the country decides. Riyadh serves the Kingdom's own users — the Gulf's largest population — with data under Saudi law, at 41 ms to Mumbai and 48 to Istanbul. Dubai remains the wider Gulf hub at 0.3 Tbit/s, 14 ms to Riyadh and 33 to Mumbai. Same price; the question is whose users and whose law you are optimising for.
Why open the smallest site in the fleet in Riyadh?
Because 0.18 Tbit/s is the right size for a first year, and the flat price makes even the smallest rack worth selling: Saudi users were renting in Dubai or Europe and paying 14-95 ms when their own country had the population to justify a local node. SA-IX gives the Kingdom a native fabric, and 94 ms to Frankfurt keeps the rest of the world a reasonable hop away.

Is the price the same in every location?
Yes. A Nano costs €1.90 per month in Frankfurt and in São Paulo. There is no regional pricing tier, no 'emerging market' discount and no 'premium location' markup to optimise around.
Can I move a server to another site later?
Take a snapshot, deploy the same image at the destination, restore, update the DNS. The console does not yet automate the migration end-to-end, but nothing about the price changes if you redeploy somewhere else.
Is DDoS protection included?
Standard volumetric filtering is always on and always free at every site. If you need application-layer scrubbing with custom rules, the Advanced tier costs €3.90 per month per server.
What IP addresses do I get?
Every server ships with one dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6, both announced from the site you chose. Additional IPv4s are €1.20 per month each, up to eight per server.

Orders from Saudi Arabia are handled exactly like every other order: checkout in euros, payment in Bitcoin, Monero or any of twenty-four assets, and the server provisions on the first network confirmation. No card, no bank, no name that has to match one.
